SURGICAL MARKETING SKILLS REQUIRED

Hands-on knowledge and experience to provide a deliverable of significant value

Real Marketing Consulting

As Marketing Consultants, we believe great solutions come from a strong strategic heartbeat. And a strong strategic heartbeat can enhance your company’s ability to add new business, as well as create added value for existing customers.

And yet, if you ask ten corporate executives to define Marketing, you’ll typically get ten different answers – many of which are focused around or include advertising. In our world, Marketing is NOT Advertising, nor is it promotion. As Marketing Consultants, we are often confused for advertising or promotional specialists. At Langberg & Co. we execute neither.

What Makes Us Different

As Marketing Surgeons, not management generalists, every member of our team must have real-world surgical (marketing) skills. We’ve put these skills to use:

  • Transforming Hallmark Cards into a marketing-driven organization
  • Developing a new line of whirlpools for American Standard
  • Increasing the effectiveness of Michelin’s commercial sales force
  • Creating and introducing a new brand of crayons, markers and pencils for Crayola
  • Developing a new corporate identity and positioning for Texas Children’s Hospital
  • Additional “patients” who utilized our team’s surgical skills: Sprint, AO Smith, CSX, Popeyes and dozens of others – both large and small – ALL of whom consented to put our strategic surgical skills to use for a second and even third operation.

When we work with clients, we believe passionately in 5 core tenets:

  1. Always remembering you are hiring us to deliver practical, actionable recommendations – not just regurgitate what you already know.
  2. Knowing the foundation of our work must be fact based.
  3. Always respecting your knowledge…but always challenging the status quo.
  4. Designing our solutions from the outside in – not from within the four walls of your office.
  5. In avoiding academic theories or models that lose validity in the realities of the marketplace.

The confusion between marketing and advertising/promotion was a fundamental reason why we developed “Continuum Marketing”™ – a process of up to 16 integrated elements that comprise every company’s “Marketing System.” Ensuring those elements work to support each other significantly increases the opportunity for incremental and or greater profitability.
